Landis+Gyr partners with Egg to Pioneer Smart Energy Solutions and Achieve Net Zero Commitment by 2030

The partnership focuses on on building integrated energy management experiences for businesses.

Manchester, UK – November 09, 2023—Landis+Gyr, a leading global provider of integrated energy management solutions is pleased to announce the expansion of a longstanding partnership with UK clean energy solutions provider Egg. The five-year year partnership will focus on empowering businesses and their employees to utilize energy in a more informed and sustainable way from integrating renewable energy to using smart EV charging solutions.

As part of the partnership Egg will install Landis+Gyr EV chargers and operate its Ocean Charge Point Management Solutions alongside other low carbon technologies, solar panels and batteries for businesses looking for an integrated energy management experience.

Egg has implemented such a solution at Landis+Gyr’s UK headquarters in Manchester, transforming it into a state-of-the-art centre of excellence for smart energy. Featuring 8 Landis+Gyr interactive EV chargers, the Landis+Gyr Ocean SaaS platform, 100kW rooftop solar array and 40kW of battery storage, the smart energy solution has already saved 10 tons of CO₂ emissions and lowered peak period energy usage by 37%. Landis+Gyr operates its own Smart Energy Management platform to analyze the energy generated and how it is used across the site.

The building now generates 30% of its own clean energy and underscores Landis+Gyr’s commitment to Net Zero by 2030 while also serving as a smart energy showcase hosting local businesses and clients to demonstrate the real-life benefits of a Smart Energy Management Solution in commercial properties.
