Peter Mainz

Peter Mainz, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is an Austrian citizen. Mr. Mainz was appointed CEO in November 2024. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Landis+Gyr since June 2018. He currently also serves as member of the Board at Metron Farnier. Mr. Mainz has been a Board member of Itron and Chairman of the Board at Metasphere Ltd.
Prior to this he served as President and CEO of Sensus and held other positions at Sensus including Executive VP of Operations and CFO. Earlier in his career he was in various positions at Invensys including VP Finance Metering Systems Division and was a controller at Schlumberger. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Computer Science from the Johannes Kepler University Linz and an MBA from the Texas A&M University.

Davinder Athwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is a UK and US citizen. Mr. Athwal was appointed as Executive Vice President and CFO in April 2025. Davinder Athwal has over 25 years of global financial leadership experience. He joined Landis+Gyr from Phenom, where he was CFO. Prior to that, he held CFO positions within US-based companies, including Output Services Group, Avantax, and UGI International.
In September 2026, Davinder was appointed to the Board of Feed the Children, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating child hunger worldwide. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he holds a BA in Accounting & Finance from Kingston University, London, and an MS in Finance from Long Island University, New York.
Holger Klafs

Holger Klafs, Group General Counsel, is a German citizen. Mr. Klafs was appointed Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Landis+Gyr in November 2020 and to the Group Executive Management in August 2025. Holger Klafs has over 25 years’ experience in various global legal roles. He joined Landis+Gyr from Mann+Hummel, where he was Group General Counsel and Group VP. Prior to that he held Head of Corporate Legal and Strategic Execution positions in the financial markets industry with Deutsche Boerse AG and legal positions with Accenture and PwC. Earlier in his career, he was also a corporate and M&A attorney with the international law firm Mayer Brown.
Admitted to the Bar as an Attorney-at-Law, Holger Klafs studied Law at the University of Constance and University of London (Queen Mary).

Prasanna Venkatesan, Chief Operating Officer, is a U.S. citizen. Mr. Venkatesan was previously the EVP and Head of Americas. He has been with Landis+Gyr since 2006. During his tenure at Landis+Gyr, Mr. Venkatesan has held several leadership roles, including Head of Strategy (2022 to 2024), Head of Americas (2014 to 2021), Senior Vice President and General Manager of Systems & Services for Landis+Gyr North America (2009 to 2013), and Vice President of Research and Development (2008 to 2009).
Prior to this, he served in senior roles at Cellnet Technology, Inc., including Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering, where he also led the integration of Cellnet Technology into Landis+Gyr following its acquisition in 2007. Prasanna Venkatesan holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, U.S.

Amith Kota, Global Chief Product & Technology Officer, leads all product, technology, and solutions at Landis+Gyr. He was appointed to this role after serving as Vice President of Software & Services and Chief Information Officer, where he led the growth of the company’s software, cloud, and services businesses supporting Landis+Gyr’s long-term digital strategy.
Prior to joining Landis+Gyr, Mr. Kota held senior technology leadership roles at Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company, and Progressive Insurance. He has more than 25 years of experience driving digital transformation and innovation across enterprise technology and customer-focused solutions. Mr. Kota serves on the board of Advanced Energy United and other clean energy and industry organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an Executive Certificate in Innovation and Strategy from Case Western Reserve University.

Lisa Magnuson, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), is a strategic global marketing leader with deep experience scaling brands and building demand for energy, climate tech, and innovation-driven companies. She is responsible for Corporate Marketing, Digital and Demand Generation, Product and Solution Marketing and Global Communications.
Prior to joining Landis+Gyr, Ms. Magnuson held senior marketing and communications leadership roles at Silver Spring Networks, PG&E, Bloom Energy, Wärtsilä and other growth-stage energy technology companies. Across these roles, she has helped define new markets, reposition brands and build high-performing marketing organizations closely aligned with sales, business development, and finance.
Her work spans integrated marketing, customer engagement, thought leadership and demand generation, with a focus on translating complex technologies into compelling narratives that drive measurable growth. She has led initiatives ranging from hydrogen and grid-modernization campaigns to large-scale digital energy literacy programs.
Ms. Magnuson holds a degree from Duke University and has been actively involved in industry leadership, including serving as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Working Group on Consumer Engagement, a founding board member of the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative and a member of advisory councils focused on energy innovation and sustainability.

Carter Shoop, Chief Strategy Officer, has over 20 years of experience scaling companies in software and climate-tech. Mr. Shoop was appointed Chief Strategy Officer in 2026, leading strategy, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and business operations for Landis+Gyr. Most recently, Mr. Shoop was a fractional executive scaling climate technology companies across grid modernization, hydrogen, and distributed energy sectors—providing deep domain expertise directly applicable to Landis+Gyr's market position. Prior to his consulting work, he held senior strategy and operations leadership roles at Atlassian, ServiceNow and Groupon. During his tenure at Atlassian, he led corporate strategy, business operations, and monetization. Mr. Shoop began his career at Deutsche Bank, where he developed expertise in grid-tech, energy efficiency, and water-tech innovation. He holds a BA in Economics from Denison University and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

He has been with Landis+Gyr for 20+ years, building extensive experience in procurement and supply chain leadership. He is focused on ensuring responsible, efficient, and future-ready procurement practices that support the company’s commitments to reliability, sustainability, and trusted utility partnerships.

Mr. Lagkouvardos holds an MSc in Chem. Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and an MBA from the University of Wales.
