In case of a .MAP120 upgrade the current license is kept, i.e. it is copied once to all users of the PC. System Requirements ---------------------- - Supported operating systems: - Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista. - Landis+Gyr .MAP120 may work on other MS Windows versions as well. These haven't been tested and there is no support available in case of problems. - The following system components which are not part of Landis+Gyr .MAP120 must be installed on your computer: - Microsoft .NET framework 4.6.1 or later 4. First Time Installation -------------------------- In order to install correctly Landis+Gyr .MAP120, a) ensure that you have administrator privileges on your computer b) start 'setup.exe' c) follow the instructions of the setup wizard 5. Upgrade ---------- 5.1 Upgrade of a former Landis+Gyr .MAP120 4.4 release to the most recent release 4.4 The newest release 4.4 automatically replaces any former release 4.4. All data including the license and the communication settings is kept. Start the installation procedure (start setup.exe) and confirm the upgrade. 5.2 Upgrade of Landis+Gyr .MAP120 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.x, 2.x to the most recent release The new release can be installed in parallel to a former release. In this case a separate directory is required for the installation. It is strongly recommended to uninstall the old release because it will no longer be supported. Known Restrictions --------------------- - If you are using an UHD display and a display scale factor >100% the .MAP application changes its size to 100% as soon as a device description is opened or when opening the about box. Use a link in which the 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' property is ticked in the compatibility settings to run .MAP120. - The first startup of Landis+Gyr .MAP120 can take quite long (5-20 seconds) depending on the performance of your PC because the .net environment must be initialised first. - The performance is also rather low when opening a new device description the first time. 8. Languages ------------ The tool is available in English and German. The language can be changed in the tool menu but requires to start up again the tool. Your Landis+Gyr representative will inform you on the availability of Landis+Gyr .MAP120 in your local language. 9. Licensing ------------- The software is not copy protected, everybody is allowed to install a demo release with limited functionality. To obtain a valid license please contact your local Landis+Gyr representative. The licensing requires administrator privileges on your computer. 10.
