Distribution automation

Landis+Gyr UtiliNet Distribution Automation (DA) allows the utility to monitor and control its distribution networks and automate decision making, while enabling computer optimized load shifting that manages distributed generation capacity, alleviates overload conditions, reduces outage occurrence and duration, and creates more efficient electricity distribution systems.

As well as reducing the potential for overloads on distribution networks, advanced DA systems enable better use of distributed generation capacity. This supports local power grids during blackouts, reduces potential losses over long-distance transmission lines, and encourages the use of renewable fuels for electricity .
