Landis+Gyr Axial Flow Valve regulator
The Axial Flow Valve provides pressure and flow control in high capacity transmission, distribution and industrial systems. It can be used for pressure regulation, over pressure relief, flow control or simply as an on/off valve.
The AFV is unique in that there is no mechanical connection to the control element. Instead, the valve uses an elastomer sleeve which expands or contracts depending on the pressure differential across this sleeve. This principle provides a valve that is extremely compact and lightweight, easy to install and service, and one with a streamlined flow path for quiet operation.
A pilot regulator controls the differential and depending on the pilot used, the AFV can provide a variety of output pressure ranges and capacities. The sleeve of an AFV is moulded so that its inner diameter is smaller than the outer sealing surface of the cage, allowing positive lock-up when there is no demand downstream.
Depending on pilot configuration, the AFV can be used in a variety of applications as follows: Pressure Reduction, Relief / Back – Pressure, Monitor, Monitor Override, Pressure Stabilising. A complete range of sizes (2″ through 12″) and pressure classes (ANSI 150/300, 600) are available.
The Landis+Gyr Gas Product Selection Program is a multi-faceted program that is designed to assist in the selection and sizing of the gas products sold by Landis+Gyr and includes all Product Brochures, Instructional Manuals and Parts Lists.
