HAN Interoperability Program

Landis+Gyr's interoperability program is an outgrowth of the company's involvement in developing industry standards for home area network devices. This program ensures that applicable device features and functions have passed a baseline of system testing with the Gridstream solution.

Participating devices undergo an evaluation beyond basic compliance testing to confirm compatibility with Gridstream's operating software and Energy Service Portal. Utilities, as well as in-premise device vendors and other companies in the home area network market, stand to benefit from this program. Today, the program is focused on companies with ZigBee-enabled Smart Energy Profile compliant products. These include in-home energy displays, smart thermostats and load control devices.
