Single Board Radio
The Single Board Radio (SBR) is designed for easy integration into SCADA, DA and metering products. The SBR is a self contained 100 mW Integrated WanGate Radio that includes voltage regulation, microprocessor, transmitter and receiver in a palm-sized circuit board. When used with the approved cable and antenna, the radio has received modular FCC approval. The radio supports several general purpose digital and analog interface connections. These interfaces are accessible via the Device Control Word Programming Language.
Integrated WanGate Radio
Designed for internal mounting, the Integrated WanGate Radio (IWR) provides full two-way, peer-to-peer communication within the Gridstream DA network and is primarily deployed for remote data collection, end device monitoring and control. The IWR offers advanced functionality, such as individual message prioritization, additional memory for localized intelligence and a programming language (DCW) used to provide interface and control to distributed automation equipment. The IWR has one RS-232 port for the LAN Packet Port (LPP)and one RS-232/485 port for the Transparent Packet Port (TPP).
IP Radio
The IP Integrated WanGate Radio provides similar functionality as the standard IWR, but adds the ability to access the mesh network using standard TCP/IP connections. Access to both LPP and TPP port features is accomplished through a single TCP/IP Ethernet connection. The IP Radio uses an integrated TCP/IP port that eliminates the need for a separate serial to IP interface for accessing the utility's local area network, thereby improving cost efficiency and flexibility of deployment.
WanGate Radio
The WanGate Radio is deployed as a router within the Gridstream network for both DA and AMI applications. It's use in distribution automation applications sometimes expands to include use as a interface with devices such as remote terminal units, programmable logic controllers and other intelligent end devices. It connects to end devices using an RS-232/485 TPP connection. An international version is also available that meets varying safety and transmission requirements in other countries.
