DC System developed the RTscada suite of software applications used by utility companies to acquire, transport and present real-time operational data from end devices to corporate EMS, DMS, OMS, and other systems. GE Energy produces a wide range of electric transmission and distribution hardware that can be automated with Landis+Gyr RF mesh technology. Landis+Gyr solutions provide access to critical information and control systems anywhere employees have internet access.
GridSense has expanded its beginnings in wireless monitoring and power quality into all areas of transmission and distribution. Utilizing Landis+Gyr’s RF mesh technology, utilities can download information without removing recorders from the line. Installed at strategic points such as T-junctions, switches, rural feeders and substations, information is stored for local download or remote communication to existing SCADA, Outage Management Systems or Distribution Management Systems.
The Utility Products Division of Howard Industries is a leading manufacturer of electrical transmission and distribution equipment used by utilities and by commercial and industrial companies worldwide. Landis+Gyr is working with Howard Industries to provide RF mesh communications in their products including distribution transformers.
Joslyn Hi-Voltage expanded its product line with advanced control technology utilizing Landis+Gyr RF mesh communications. These advanced controls enable remote operation in conjunction with distribution automation (DA) and SCADA systems. Joslyn Hi-Voltage has a fully integrated distribution automation control package, including the switch control, RTU, and radio in a single cabinet with one power supply. Also introduced were controls with local intelligence for isolating faulted feeder sections quickly, restoring power to non-faulted sections.
In 2000, Nu-Lec Industries became part of the global Schneider Electric group. Nu-Lec specializes in the automation of overhead power lines, producing a range of automatic circuit reclosers and load break switch/sectionalizes (LBS) systems. Nu-Lec incorporates Landis+Gyr DA solutions to support device communications. Both Nu-Lec and Landis+Gyr have a strong customer-service focus including the flexibility to adapt products for operators' needs and a commitment to fast delivery times.
Power Delivery Products (PDP), Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Horstmann Faulted Circuit Indictors which have the Landis+Gyr Single Board Radio embedded in the pole-mounted unit in the United States and Mexico. During 2009, PDP and Landis+Gyr worked with PECO to install this product within the PECO SCADA network.
Reliatronics manufactures remote terminal units (RTUs) for controlling distribution and transmission switchgear, monitoring transformers and other equipment, detecting and reporting faults, and performing a host of other functions. Utilizing Landis+Gyr RF mesh technology, utilities can connect to Reliatronics multiple RTUs and download information from remote SCADA, Outage Management Systems or Distribution Management Systems.
Rohrback Cosasco Systems’ Remote Monitoring Units, combined with GridStream Radios and Remote Data Collectors are used at locations where data collections for corrosion rate changes are required to deliver exceptional data reliability and network stability from field locations. AC, battery and solar powered units are available.
