SCADA Center

In conjunction with DC Systems, Landis+Gyr has launched the SCADA Center suite of software applications. SCADA Center provides a full range of distribution automation functions, including distributed intelligence for data acquisition and control in the utility environment. These applications can be used as single, stand-alone systems, or interconnected to form a powerful host network system that shares data, control and processing. All SCADA Center Applications Run on standard or hardened PC hardware under the industry-standard Windows operating system.

SCADA Center Applications include:

An Intelligent Communication Gateway (ICG) that acquires data from substation and field devices and serves the data to one or more external systems.

The Gridstream Network Monitor (GNM) to monitor and report system the health of individual communication devices.

An Advanced Substation Platform (ASP) that replaces many common functions with a single, optionally redundant substation master. It includes an advanced high-performance platform for substation and distribution automation applications

An Auto Sectionalizing & Restoration (ASR) application that monitors feeders for outages and automatically makes switching decisions to speed restoration. Once an outage is detected the logic in ASR determines the lcoation of the fault and opens line switches to isolate it. Once the fault is isolated, ASR determines appropriate back-feed solutions to automatically restore customers outside the faulted section.
